The latest profession revealed for Guild Wars 2 is the guardian. Guardian is a plated warrior that uses magic in addition to its melee expertise. The wide array of offensive and defensive capabilities make him suitable for solo or group play.
First view of the profession sums it up as a tank-oriented fighter with many self-supporting abilities. Most of these abilities are sustained through three virtues - the passive empowerments that guardian summons to help him in combat.
